The point that made me write to the newspaper is, if they are the experts, and,  wish to charge the very high rates for their "expertise" they have to be right, or,  accept, that, should the information that they give be incorrect, there will be a penalty to pay. 

In the incident mentioned in my letter, no personal harm has been done, drivers broke the law and paid the penalty, but, legal judgements by these "experts" could result in very serious consequences caused by their inability to do the job.

What is an "expert"?. How do you prove that you are an "expert"?,

If you make a mistake on a simple matter such as the details to be printed on a parking ticket, surely this shows that you do not have the required skills for that title.

They are experts at one thing, making money. Charge to check the legality of the ticket, so we got it wrong, now we will charge to check the legality of the new ticket.

I wish that I was an "expert".
