 Beautifully summed up by the poet Marian Barker are these words that say why we "blog".

The Web.
At opposite sides of the worldwide web
With delicate threads between
Binding hearts and lives of those
That we have never seen
A silken cord encircles all
And keeps us closely bound
Not trapped but willing captives
The whole wide world around.
